Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 batch Two Crust Pie Pastry
  • 6 cups Tart Apples (pared)
  • 1 Tbsp Corn Starch
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp Butter

Instructions

  1. Line a 9-inch pie pan with pastry.
  2. Fill with apple slices.
  3. In a bowl combine sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon.
  4. Sprinkle over apples.
  5. Dot with butter.
  6. Cover with slit pastry.
  7. Seal edges.
  8. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes until golden brown.

💡 Tips & Notes

To glaze a pie crust, brush top with beaten egg yoke.
